Because podcasting is a new, exciting, cutting edge phenomena, many folks are keen to get connected, and therefore the Howard Cruel podcast.

Everyone wants to join another big thing, but not many are suited or prepared to do so. The Howard Cruel Podcast was made and shown on iTunes, the Apple company’s music shop. However, the podcast was never updated, and the sole clip ever provided failed to even include Howard Humorless .

This has brought lots of flack down on Howard Cruel , as well as Sirius Radio, which broadcasts Humorless . Lots of these folk would have elected to hear Humorless when they wished to, as a podcast, and were disappointed the feed wasn’t being used. The Howard Humorless podcast is an example of some of the issues that may arise with podcasting.

Its new, and awfully hyped, so everybody wants to be part of it. It’d be close to very unlikely for a podcaster to charge for their content. Either the podcaster would have a tiny circle of folks that enjoy the feed, and few who would need to pay for it, or be extraordinarily well-liked, as Humorless is, and have the difficulty of paying patrons presumably redistributing the content so others will not need to pay.
